The role
As a Facilities Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Maintaining a safe, legally compliant, and functional built environment by the effective delivery of Planned Maintenance, Reactive and remedial works.
Day-to-day, you’ll help with the hands-on delivery of M&E maintenance support of a range of commercial and hangar buildings, as well as:
- Ensure statutory compliance and high levels of system reliability.
- Host and manage the visiting supply chain and review method and risk assessments.
- Administrate the Babcock safe system of work including the issue of permits to work.
- Create/produce risk and method statements for in-house reactive and planned tasks.
- Maintain building compliance records using the Babcock CAFM System (TABS).
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell or RAF Barkston Heath.
Essential experience of the Facilities Engineer:
- IT literate (Microsoft Package Inc.; Outlook, Word and Excel)
Qualifications for the Facilities Engineer:
- Recognised qualification in a building service discipline, and Knowledge of Information Security and Data Protection act.
- Working Understanding of COSHH and completed H&S training (such as IOSH)
- Water Hygiene knowledge for Legionella (L8). Qualification or awareness Water Hygiene management Qualification
- Machine operations to IPAF 3a and 3b.
- Hold or working towards Membership of an associated Professional Institute. . NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Facilities Management (4 Day) Qualification.
Security Clearance
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance.
