The role
As a Quality Practitioner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide quality assurance support to ensure company activities that are delivered within submarine projects are fit for purpose.
Day-to-day, you’ll
- Provide quality support to submarine related projects and activities
- Formally review and approve activities and work documentation, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory requirements
- Carry out onboard submarine audits and conformance checks
- Check that the documentation for completed work has been completed in accordance with agreed technical specifications
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Quality Practitioner
- Have an in-depth knowledge of quality assurance principals in a highly regulated technical, engineering or manufacturing environment
- Have a sound understanding of business and continuous improvement techniques including root cause analysis and performance measurement metrics
- Have an in-depth technical background and be able to interpret specifications, codes, standards, and engineering drawings
- Have a sound knowledge of MS Office applications and engineering software systems in order to compile reports
Qualifications for the Quality Practitioner
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
