Senior Data Analyst
Purpose Of The Role
The Data Analyst reporting to a Project Management/Scrum Master lead will work with Scrum Masters and Scrum is responsible for the following:
- Gather raw data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external systems.
- Manipulate SQL to perform in-depth structured and unstructured data analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights.
- Clean and prepare data, implement data quality checks and processes, all to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency.
- Support cross-functional agile teams understanding their data needs and providing data-driven recommendations to support their goals.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by the business to address specific questions or concerns.
- Expand and enhance reports for actionable data and in-depth analysis.
- Be familiar with Business Intelligence tool, such as Power BI, to create meaningful and visually appealing, content rich and consumer centric reports and dashboards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and BI tools
In This Role You'll
- Work with Scrum Master in creating dashboards, reports and continuously improving them.
- Collaborate with Scrum master and their development team in identifying necessary project metrics.
- Track and manage project controls (risks, impediments and dependencies)
- Generate, analyze and report on project metrics
- Coordinate information and efforts among various groups such as product management, development, QA, deployment, and production teams
- Contributes to the overall improvement of Scrum Master/Project management practices in the organization through process improvement and other initiatives and active collaboration with other members of the Scrum Master/ Development Project Management team
About The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in analytics related field such as statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, finance, business management, or economics
- 2+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics domain
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in related fields
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects, taking them from vague requirements to an impactful story, accessible across diverse audiences, and ultimately to a clear business outcome
- Excellent communication skills to collect requirements and effectively convey data findings
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets
- Ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on the data
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through, with creative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to take initiative, innovate, and solve complex problems
- Has knowledge of software development cycle following agile frameworks
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Strong team player with collaborative mindset
- Eager and able to learn new systems/processes quickly
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural, international organization
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
