The role
As a Programme Coordinator you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an unique opportunity to join our Management team within Babcock Rail. You’ll focus on all aspects relating to project delivery, including cost and quality whilst working with various departments and clients, granting you fantastic development opportunities and great exposure across our business and externally.
Day-to-day, you’ll be the driving force behind planning, monitoring, and reporting progress in accordance with company governance and guidelines. You’ll have comprehensive control over all work tasks, ensuring a diverse and varied role.
- Monitor programme dashboard via performance indicators and provide periodic progress reports
- Support the project teams in collation of documentation and administration team in daily duties.
- Support resource on-boarding/off-boarding by acting as a key contact to enable all members of the programme to successfully transition on and off the account.
- Planning, attending and supporting key meetings through various phases of programme delivery, with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders, ensuring queries are effectively handled in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the RSAS Director and the Alliance Management Team in providing a safe working environment at all times during the execution of those projects under their responsibility by supporting the delivery of new initiatives.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 - 3 days in the office/onsite and 2- 3 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Programme Coordinator
- Ability to multitask and deal with a wide and varied workload and during key busy periods, be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work.
- Ability to plan & manage own workload with minimal direction and complete projects on an accurate and timely basis. Managing multiple ongoing and ad-hoc projects with the ability to prioritise is essential.
- Experience in utilising various relevant elements of Microsoft packages or similar.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, commercial and financial aspects (ideal)
- Experience in supporting large programme of work and/or management teams (ideal)
- Knowledge of Primavera, ViewPoint, SharePoint or similar systems (ideal)
