The role
As a Service Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Service Management Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the contract to manage and operate Skynet, the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) military satellite communications system and ground stations.
Day-to-day, you’ll conduct service portfolio management, as well as:
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Facilitation of communications between service delivery, support, client representatives, and service management (issue management).
- Developing services for the service catalogue
- Coordinating Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA)
- Generating service metrics and reporting to lead teams throughout the Service Lifecycles.
This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Service Manager:
- Previous experience in a services role and understanding of service life cycle.
- Understanding and/or experience of ITIL V4 or V4
- Understanding of commercial and/or satellite communications is required for this role.
- Experience of change management risk management
