Job Summary

The Associate Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Partner invests in the future of Southwest’s People by supporting a portfolio of technology-related supplies and contracts and managing TSCM Operations Mobility projects. This role will support renewals, issue purchase orders, and resolve supplier invoice disputes. The Associate Technology SCM Partner brings their detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset to this growing Team, where you’ll have the opportunity to drive the future of Southwest.
This role is offered as a regional workplace position and Employees must work in the region they support. This could require working from a mix of on-site Company facilities and remote based offices to perform the job function in a regional location determined by business need. Each Department will provide Employees with guidance on when and where presence is required with as much notice as reasonably possible.

Responsibilities
- Manage on-going demand planning with technology and/ or business Stakeholders for assigned agreements and renewals
- Negotiate and draft simple contracts for technology products and services to achieve lowest total system cost and savings objectives with limited assistance
- Manage life cycle for a set of maintenance renewal agreements, related purchase orders and invoices, and provide expertise and mentoring in maintenance renewal processes to other Team Members
- Collaborate with Internal Customers to gain a solid understanding of business requirements to execute the most appropriate agreement
- Support implementation of business strategies, facilitate aspects of the sourcing process and closely collaborate with Stakeholders to select and award business to suppliers
- Use available tools and market research to identify supplier trends, supplier and category sourcing best practices
- Bring forward opportunities to incorporate into target supplier savings goals and deliver cost savings to achieve best total cost of ownership
- Develop proficient knowledge in their assigned technology spend categories
- Perform ethical procurement practices of contracted goods and services which includes compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer Satisfaction
- Skilled in using various computer hardware and software
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in SCM/Technology or related field
- Preferred: Experience with Ariba or SAP
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
- Must have flexibility to work extended hours during the week and weekend, including Company holidays, during quarterly close or special projects
- Limited Travel
This role is offered as a regional workplace position and Employees must work in the region they support. Please note, while this is a regional position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $84,350.00 per year to $93,700.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience**. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
