TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales executive promotes products and services to customers and negotiates contracts with the aim of maximising profits. He/she is responsible for his/her own Customer portfolio - geographical area Hamburg, Bremen and Hannover
Sales performance and development
- Ensure reservations and booking in the CV system of customer freight transport requests
- Perform administrative tasks
- Regular plan sales visits and sales activities together with the sales management
- Visit customers to discuss opportunities and existing business
- Basis analyzation of market based on LEAP, SAC and CASS data
- Chase outstanding Leap quotes
- Own local allowance performance
- Deal with local tenders
- Deal with local escalated customer service issues (complaint handling)
- Coordinate local business processes for customer/shippers
- Compliance KYC
- Rate negotiations with customers within your geographical area
- Working closely with pricing department to generate available rates and rate agreements for general business
- Working closely with route management for available capacity for general business
- Representing Cargolux to all Customers and external links
Sales Support
- Assist the Management to generate red flights sales possibilities and inform stations and team members
- Assist Manager to overlook the market and develop new sales possibilities
- Working together with accounting department to ensure proper invoicing
- By being a contact person for all questions regarding freight transport, sales activities, and allocations for internal and external customers
- Administration tasks (i.e. contact lists, rate updates, rate sheets)
- Maintenance of CRM system
- Preparing reports and analysing customer performance for further business development
- Reporting on a regular basis to the Country Management
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Apprenticeship or A-level in the logistic sector is required
- At least 5 years of proven sales experience
- Good knowledge of the logistic market in the area
- Responsible and reliable, strong communication skills
- Fluent in German and English is required
- You should be passionate about air freight and eager to take over responsibilities
