We are looking for a Payroll Manager UK who will be a central part of the UK operation. In this position, you are part of the Norse Payroll Team reporting to the Group Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities and duties
- To process payroll according to UK regulations
- Be aware of expected standards of quality and timeliness of data submitted to company accountants and report any shortcomings to the People team
- Handle personal data of applicants in compliance with GDPR
- Ensure that all data is verified before the final submission of payroll
- Resolution of payroll queries
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation
- Final review of all employee expenses and process payments through payroll
- Ensure filling is completed after each pay run of payroll data for compliance
- Liaise internally with other departments and management
- Manage the Pension Scheme
- Timely posting of the journal entries related to the payroll to the Finance system.
- Any other duties that might be required to assist in the smooth running of the payroll department.
Required qualifications and certifications
- Qualified in Payroll & Accounting is desirable
- Knowledge of P11D processing including knowledge in all areas of expenses and benefits
- Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation in terms of SSP, SMP, SPP, and SPL
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable with the rapid pace of change in both a business and personal context
- Have integrity, energy, lots of enthusiasm and is hardworking, likable, and approachable
- Strong IT skills including Excel
- Strong multitasking skills
Required experience
- Aviation experience is desirable
- Company start-up desirable
- Previously worked in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
