We are looking for a Group Financial Controller who will join our growing Finance Team.
You will have the main responsibility for the Group’s external financial reporting and sustainability reporting to the investor market. You will participate in projects and work closely with the whole finance team.
In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
The role is based at the Norse headquarters in Arendal.
Responsibilities
- Being in charge of the Group’s external financial reporting under IFRS, including developing good practice quarterly and yearly financial reports, and also quarterly presentations
- Being the Group’s IFRS technical expert, ensuring documented compliance with IFRS
- Develop sustainability (CSRD) as integrated part of the Group’s reporting
- Prepare and participate in Audit Committee dialogue
- Liaise with the Group’s auditors
- Supporting month end closing activities, management reporting and statutory financial reporting in close collaboration with VP Finance
- Lead and participate in finance-related development projects, such as adopting to new requirements and developing the Group’s best practices within finance
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance and/or accounting – license as a state authorized accountant is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Minimum 5 years of work experience from financial audits, finance organizations and/or consulting
- Expert level knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in applying the standards in an international group context
- Interest in developing knowledge and skills within sustainability reporting (CSRD)
- Interest in and experience from project work within the finance organization
- Proficient in English language
- Good command of IT systems
