The role
As a Land Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities Product Owner you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As the system Subject Matter Expert (SME), you’ll ensure that operator engagement will be at the deeply technical level to ensure their unique requirements are accurately understood.
Day to day, you’ll hold the key technical relationship with the Land CEMA customer community for the purpose of understanding, extracting, and analysing customer and user needs, as well as:
- Providing a 1st line configuration and maintenance capability to deployed user assets, in remote locations or within a deployed environment
- Serving as the voice of the customer community for internal operations and discussions, where system requirements are derived by the Systems Engineering team based on knowledge of the user need
- Owning the product roadmap and lead road mapping activities
- Acting as an ambassador for agile working on discrete tasking/development projects in the CEMA delivery team, ensuring that an appropriate backlog is defined
- Leading the development of innovative white papers for new capabilities and opportunities within Land CEMA
This role is full time, 37-hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.
Essential experience of the Land Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities Product Owner
- Experience working within CEMA domain within defence, ideally within Land focused roles
- Experience of successfully defining and delivering requirements for in service solutions
- Deep understanding of the CEMA customer landscape and key stakeholders across the Land CEMA community
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical teams to define capabilities against set system and sub system requirements
- Skilled in the use of PowerPoint, Visio, MS projects and production of high quality briefing material to senior stakeholders both internally and externally
