We are looking for a new Crew Data Manager within Crew Data Management/Crew Planning
Crew Planning plays a pivotal role in SAS operations, handling the scheduling and staffing of our daily flights, which can number up to 800. This involves a complex balancing act, as we aim to optimize productivity, ensure operational reliability, and support the well-being of our crew members. Simultaneously, we meticulously adhere to labor agreements and government regulations.
The Crew Planning department is at the core of SAS, directly impacting our ability to maintain on-time flight operations, ensuring that passengers reach their destinations as scheduled.
We are now looking for a Crew Data Manager to join our team. In this role you will make sure that all Flying Crew get the Vacation, Leave of Absence and Contracts according to Legal and Collective Bargain Agreements. We update Crew Data and make sure that it is correct in order to have correct availability in our planning systems for optimization of Crew Rosters in Crew Planning.
You will be part of a dynamic team with growing responsibilities, and you will be responsible for executing an array of different operational processes on daily, monthly and yearly basis.

We have documented processes for most activities and we operate a variety of different tasks, with different work load over time. To succeed in this role, you must have an ability to execute your tasks systematically with a focus on process adherence and efficiency. At the same time, being thorough and securing high quality of your work are highly prioritized in your way of working.
As Crew Data Manager you will:
- Be responsible for timely and correctly updated crew data for certain crew groups.
- Allocate changes to Crew Contracts, Qualifications and Restrictions in our planning system
- Allocate Vacation to Crew three times per year
- Manage Crews’ change requests and applications
To be successful, we believe you should have:
- Experience and good records from managing data in larger operating systems (preferably Jeppesen CMS). You have experience with handling data in excel and can operate functions e.g. for filtering and look-up
- Bachelors degree within relevant field, e.g. economy, logistics etc.
- Strong skills in English language, spoken and written
- A feeling of satisfaction getting the job done fast and with quality
- No problem working in an environment with ongoing changes seeking continuous improvements
