Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a Sr. Field Service Engineer for our industrial manufacturing client, local to the Tampa FL area. The incumbent would be responsible for performing installations, repairs, troubleshooting and PM on electrical distribution equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Serving in a hands-on capacity, execute new projects by handling start up, commissioning, modifications, troubleshooting, design, engineering, and repair of power delivery equipment. Items include transformers, switchgears, OCB’s, busways, UPS, ATS, PLC’s, Circuit breakers and controls.
- Manage outages with fellow field engineers, technicians, project managers, etc. while performing administrative tasks to write technical reports, order materials, prepare status reports, and serve as the customer point of contact. Control costs to protect companies’ capital investments and safeguard equipment.
- Identify new service opportunities, develop proposals and executing work scope while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance.
- Plan and prepare career development programs to impart field engineering knowledge for areas of specialization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree, Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years in the field of engineering.
- Technical testing of power distribution, and delivery of Low and Medium voltage breakers, switchgears, relays and transformers.
- Experience in commissioning, testing, startups, troubleshooting of medium voltage machines, control systems, PLCs, etc.
- Travel of 70%+ domestically.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US.
