Train and check crew (Pilots and cabin crew) in the theory, practice and application of cabin safety and emergency procedures (SEP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Train and check cabin crew to ensure the care competent in delivering first aid. Conducting the training and examination of crew in aviation security and dangerous goods, ensuring they achieve the required standard of training. Training and examination of crew in Manual Handling and Health and Safety programmes in accordance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work act of 2005, General Application Regulations 2007. Developing, evaluating and updating training programmes in accordance with the regulations and business requirements. Managing the completion and return of all required course records and paperwork. Ensuring all training documentation is completed correctly to comply with compliance and regulatory requirements. Actively support the customer service instructors with the design, implementation and delivery of customer service modules in line with business requirements. Lead training projects within the academy, review documentation, course syllabus and manuals as requested by training management team. Conduct inflight and classroom inspections on SOPs & SEP to ensure the transfer of learning is being adhered to in the operation. Support the IFS Safety and Training team in other duties as defined by MSCTA. Establishing a process to integrate customer experience opportunities into all safety training. Identify areas in safety training modules that can be highlighted as customer experience touch points.

Minimum of two years’ experience in a cabin crew role. Currently hold a valid EASA Attestation or ability to acquire same. Commitment to working shift duties including weekends. Available to work away from base at short notice. Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office, excel an PowerPoint. Certified Crew Resource Management Instructor (CRMI) or ability to qualify. Certified Dangerous Goods Instructor (CAT 6) or ability to qualify. Certified Security Instructor (IAA or CAA) or ability to qualify. Working knowledge of EASA Regulations and other statutory legislation pertaining to aviation. Proven motivational and interpersonal skills. Competent in Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present facts and opinions articulately and objectively at both an individual and group level. Self-motivated with the ability to manage and lead combined with being an effective team player. Strong organisational skills combined with attention to detail and delivering to tight timelines. Proven leadership and influencing skills with the ability to work independently. A high level of flexibility, and the ability to work in a dynamic work environment. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of Aer Lingus Purpose, Vision, Mission and values. Fluent in English both writhe and spoken. Eligible to live and work in the EU. Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport. Ability to obtain a US crew visa. Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport. Provide 3 verifiable references. Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* (or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin).
